Position: Associate Brand Manager 

Department: Marketing – Beauty & Wellness 

Work Location: Marlborough, MA, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite) 

Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations.  

What you will be doing:  

We are currently seeking an Associate Brand Manager to join the PUR Marketing team. The Associate Brand Manager of New Product Development & Go to Market will work with the PUR Marketing Director to help manage the PUR new product roadmap and work closely with the sales team to bring the products to market at retail and on line in the Water Filtration Category at retail customers such as Wal-Mart, Target, Amazon, Home Depot and more. 

General Marketing & Business Strategy 

  • Supports delivery of overall brand strategy, business objectives, and goals to help ensure financial targets are achieved. 

New Product Development 

  • Assists in ensuring items on the product roadmap—or candidates for the roadmap—meet key criteria: address a meaningful consumer need (new or improved), engage customers/retailers with a consistent cadence of innovation, demonstrate strong financial viability, and are technically feasible. 

  • Partners with cross‑functional teams to define key project objectives and ensure milestone timelines are met. 

  • Brings some hands‑on experience with packaging development. 

  • Helps ensure distribution plans are clearly defined during NPD, including channel‑specific differentiation where appropriate. 

  • Supports development of research objectives, execution of consumer/market research, and translation of findings into actionable recommendations. 

Go-to-Market 

  • Helps ensure the existing product range is successfully brought to market so that the team meets or exceeds annual financial and market share goals. 

  • Contributes to creating marketing plans (the 4Ps) for the upcoming fiscal year. 

  • Builds strong working relationships with the sales team by providing excellent support, including selling tools, presentations, retailer promotional plans, post‑promotion analysis, and other needs. 

  • Partners with internal teams (e.g., Supply) on forecasts, production, and inventory levels. 

  • Coordinates packaging planning and execution. 

  • Responsible for planning and execution of secondary displays. 

  • Experience using syndicated data sources (Nielsen, IRI, NPD, or similar) to generate insights is preferred. 

Ongoing Marketing Support 

  • Contributes to the development of the annual marketing plan. 

  • Collaborates with cross‑functional partners—including Sales, Marketing Communications, Global, Engineering, Creative Services, Digital, Finance, Supply, and Forecasting—to support and execute PUR’s New Product Development and Go‑to‑Market plans. 

  • Supports and presents initiatives in periodic Sales and Marketing meetings. 

 

Skills needed to be successful in this role:  

  • Must be hands-on with a strong can‑do attitude; meticulous, detail‑oriented, and committed to excellent follow‑through

  • Builds strong partnerships through collaboration and by authentically fostering trusted relationships with cross-functional teams, agencies, and vendors

  • Demonstrates solid analytical and research skills, with the ability to problem‑solve, develop creative solutions, and extract insights from large data sets

  • Proactive, confident, and organized, with a strong desire and ability to motivate teams and drive business growth

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Experience conducting, evaluating, and interpreting consumer research

  • Experience managing budgets and forecasting

  • Comfortable presenting to peers, management, and Executive leadership

  • Strong project and time management skills, with exceptional organizational abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Occasional travel may be required

  

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing (preference to consumer products) with track record in new product development and go to market projects. This is an excellent role for an individual who wants to develop into a well-rounded consumer goods marketer 

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis  

  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • MBA 

  

In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $79,253 - $88,059 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
