Compliance Specialist
Shenzhen, CNBASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will take responsibility in implementing Product Compliance activities. You will also be responsible for providing Product Compliance related supports/inputs to other departments. You are required to have collaboration with BU, PD, Sourcing, Quality and other Operations teams on Product Compliance related issues for continuous improvement of product compliance performance.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
KRA 1: Compliance Testing Activities.
Directly work on product safety and chemical compliance as well as clients’ requirements for worldwide markets.
Review the technical documentations like BOM, explored drawing, instruction manual and 3rd party test report. Ensure the accuracy and effective before filing.
Coordinate with 3rd party test laboratories on all testing activities (product analysis, costing, schedule, follow-up) to ensure timely and cost-effective product testing and reporting.
KRA 2: Regulatory Technical Affairs
Keep track of worldwide regulatory and file the regulations, directives and testing standards up to date and share with internal stakeholders.
Prepare Product Compliance Requirements for new product category, and product-specific test requirements, if required.
Maintain the Restrict Substance Chemical list for worldwide markets especially for general EU and its state members.
Technical support to internal functional teams like Product Development, Quality and Marketing etc. and external stakeholders like factories and customers.
KRA 3: Process Improvements
Support the Compliance Manager to develop, implement and maintain common working processes and procedures
Monitor 3rd testing laboratory service for continuous improvement to ensure the best testing practice is applied.
Other Objectives
Work independently to ensure project on time delivery with good quality with minimum supervision.
Support in compliance Database setup and continuous enhancement.
Other product compliance tasks assigned by Manager
Education, Qualification and training
Bachelor’s degree or above in chemistry or equivalent experience preferred.
Strong English communication skills and project management skills.
Min 5 years of relevant experience for product safety and chemical compliance management.
Experience or skills required
Experience in 3rd party agency for safety testing and chemical compliance project handling or in manufacturing industry for home and outdoor products background will be an advantage.
Good understanding for international chemical standards such as RoHS/REACH/EU10/2011/LFGB 30&31/ French 2007-766/FDA/ CPSIA/ Prop65 etc.
Good team player, strong analytical and project management skills with effective communication
Good command of both spoken and written English
