Position: PR & Influencer Manager, Prestige Beauty 

Department: Marketing for Drybar & Curlsmith 

Work Location: Boston, MA, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite) 

Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations. 

What you will be doing: 

The PR & Influencer Manager will oversee Drybar’s and Curlsmith’s partnership portfolios while strategizing, developing, and onboarding new partnerships to drive public relations and influencer management goals. This role manages the full partnership lifecycle — from sourcing talent and coordinating with PR agencies to negotiating contracts, overseeing deliverables, managing relationships, driving activations, and evaluating performance. 

We’re looking for a proactive, highly motivated individual with strong experience in PR, influencer marketing, and community management. This person will lead day-to-day strategy and campaign execution for Prestige’s growing influencer, PR, and partnership programs. 

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with influencer campaign and reporting tools, PR outreach, and digital launch project management. A passion for beauty and lifestyle and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are key. 

  • Influencer Relations: A key part of this role is building and maintaining influencer relationships. The PR & Influencer Manager will handle outreach, fee negotiations, invoices, sample send-outs, deliverable tracking, results reporting, content approval, and budget management. They will also manage partnerships through influencer platforms and oversee all influencer campaigns coordinated with PR agencies. 

  • Campaign Planning & Creative Briefs: The PR & Influencer Manager works from the strategy and plans set forth by the Associate PR Director and Marketing leadership team to integrate influencer campaigns into all brand activity. Using influencer management platform Grin, the PR & Influencer Manager will create campaigns and briefs in line with the Associate PR Director’s strategy and brief out to the influencer database and PR agencies where applicable. 

  • Metrics Monitoring and Reporting: Using data from GRIN, the PR & Influencer Manager is responsible for monthly reporting on all campaign metrics and KPI’s set out by the Associate PR Director, updating the monthly trackers and presenting to the marketing team, optimizing future campaigns based on learnings. They are also expected to keep on top of trends and industry insights to further enhance campaign strategy and delivering these insights to the team. 

  • Ambassador Programs: Using Skeepers and Grin, the PR & Influencer Manager will be responsible for running product seeding campaigns with ambassadors for retailer and DTC reviews and content. They will share updates with the Ecommerce Manager to ensure webpage reviews across DTC and retailers. It is the PR & Influencer Manager’s responsibility to manage the Skeepers budget, negotiate best value for money when renewing contracts and oversee all contractual activity, shipments and orders through ambassador programs, working closely with retail and DTC teams. 

  • PR Agency Management: Own the day-to-day relationship management with existing PR agencies, leading weekly calls and supporting the Associate PR Director on all agency related projects. The PR & Influencer manager will review collateral and press releases submitted by the agency and support with all execution of PR events. They will also manage all PR related internal send outs including agency stock replenishment orders. 

  • Partnership Building: Own the day-to-day relationship management of existing and perspective portfolio of partners, working closely with the Associate PR Director to ensure the timely delivery of all samples and projects. 

  • Product Gifting: All product send outs will be managed by the PR & Influencer Manager including ad-hoc gifting and mailer campaigns either run internally or externally through PR Agencies. 

  • Trend Reporting & Insight: It is vital this role has a passion for influencer marketing and a deep-rooted interest in beauty and lifestyle. They will be active on Instagram, identifying new talent and PR activity across competitor brands and reporting insights to the team. They will compile a monthly competitor report on key competitor activity across social media and PR and be the go-to for influencer and social trends. 

  • External Relationship Management: All Influencer and Ambassador relationships, Influencer and Ambassador platform relationships (Grin/Klear/Meltwater and Skeepers), day-to-day running of US and Canadian PR Agency relationships, day-to-day relationship management of all partnerships 

Skills needed to be successful in this role: 

  • Strong team player with excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills 

  • Tech-savvy, highly organized, and skilled in planning and presentations 

  • Ability to spot influencer trends and talent with a passion for beauty and influencer marketing 

  • Creative, strategic thinker who is results-driven and adaptable 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, promotion and/or management  

  • 3+ years’ marketing experience in the Influencer and PR arena 

  • Experience with influencer management platforms (e.g., Grin, Klear, Meltwater, Traackr, AspireIQ, CreatorIQ) 

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience with GRIN 

In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $82,170 - $123,255 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
