BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The role will manage and lead strategic SEA supply chain transfer projects, for Asia Pacific Organization and for the wider Helen of Troy company.
The role needs to manage cross-functional teams, timeline, cost, resources, and stakeholders' expectation. Effective communication, effective influencing skill, project management skills are of importance. The role is also expected to create and manage dashboard(s) for keeping transparency of project status, together with corresponding KPIs, to all stakeholders.
Someone who is in the supply chain/operations/sourcing function who has been assigned to lead cross-functional projects for the company with proven successful result. Project Management certificate from a reputable organization such as Project Management Institute would be preferred..
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Project Leadership: Oversee the full lifecycle of every SEA supply chain transfer projects, from initiation through planning, execution, and closure, ensuring that all phases meet predetermined timelines and objectives.
- Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration among diverse teams, including engineering, quality & compliance, sourcing, supply planning, logistics, operations, and finance, to ensure cohesive execution of project tasks and alignment with overall project goals.
- Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders; regularly update stakeholders on project progress, solicit feedback, and address concerns to maintain transparency and trust throughout the project lifecycle.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Design and maintain project dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) and critical metrics; prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on project health, risks, and milestones to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential project risks early and develop strategic mitigation plans to address them, ensuring that the project can adapt to challenges without significant impact on timelines or outcomes.
- Change Management: Lead change initiatives resulting from project adjustments; ensure that stakeholders are informed and trained on new processes or changes in the supply chain, fostering a smooth transition.
Education, Qualification, Skills, Experience requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus
- At least 8 years of experience in program or project management (MNCs is preferred)
- Has track record of successfully leading cross-functional projects, from initiation to completion
- Experience in working with a cross-cultural and/or cross-geographical project team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard tools (PowerBI preferred), with strong analytical skills to track KPIs and project performance
- Result oriented, detail focused, and capable to present to different level of audience, by articulating complex technical concepts into intuitive business messages
- In-dept knowledge of supply chain planning and logistics systems is a plus
- Experience leading product development to mass production in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) company is a plus
